I moderated the Anime Wallpaper sections as well as the female scans and group scans- so if you have questions concerning other submissions, its probably best to ask another moderator or member, or heck- check the support thread- like i said people- a lot of good information on that thing! >_<Other Stuff

- I came to Minitokyo 3 1/2 [Gosh!] years ago to find images and wallies of my favourite anime characters. Being that I became an avid renter and manga purchaser, I naturally became transfixed with drawing my favourite characters. This site has reminded me of something I didn't realize I lost earlier on- my love for drawing. Because of this, I've met hundreds, thousands of people- and have made some exceptional friends out of it. Thanks, MT! and keep those doujinshi, fan art, wallies and scans a-coming! >_<

umm.. i'm new here... and i was wondering
about the html of the Customise Userpage Layout..
like if i wanted to write a greeting..
how would i change the indent of the words or
the 'padding' i think it's called
and like.. the bullets and such..
for instance i know what < Br > does, it gives an extra space..
i was wondering where i could learn more of these codes...

Actually I think it has much more to do with "underground" (ie not mainstream) comic books than with anime. Matt Groening, an underground comic artist, really made adult, mainstream, primetime cartoons viable with the Simpsons. I can't find a single reference to anime in the Simpsons or any of the From Hell books.... But I agree, there is rarely anything that good that comes out of the US animation scene that isn't extremly indie or kid-oriented (then again, the ratio of crap to quality anime produced every year in Japan isn't so hot either)...
I think it all comes down to money. You can't really do a cartoon/anime without proper funding; the market is ther in Japan and it's not here in the US. Or rather, there is too much money to be made from much more popular sitcoms here in the US for a network to be able to rationalize backing something like an anime.
